Jamie Vardy is a Grigiorosso!

1 Settembre, 2025

U.S. Cremonese is thrilled to announce the signing of Jamie Vardy until June 30, 2026, with a renewal option upon the fulfillment of certain conditions.

Recognized worldwide as one of the most well-known English players in recent history, Vardy began his career in the non-league before his move to Leicester in 2012. During his time at the Foxes he defied all odds by winning the 2015/16 Premier League, scoring 24 goals in 36 matches and being awarded the FWA Footballer of the Year award and the Barclays Premier of the Season Award. In that same season, he set the Guinnes World Record for most consecutive games scored Premier League (11).

Overall, Vardy made 500 appearances with Leicester, scoring exactly 200 goals and providing 71 assists in all competitions. He managed to win all the main trophies of the English top-flight: one Premier League Title, one FA Cup, one Premier League Golden Boot, one Community Shield, also registering an eight-place finish in the 2016 Ballon d’Or ranking. In the Premier League he managed to score 145 goals and provide 50 assists and became the league’s oldest player to win the Golden Boot during the 2019/20 season.

With the England National Team the 38 year old striker played 26 matches and scored 7 goals across Euro 2016, the 2018 World Cup (ended with a fourth-place finish) and the qualifiers for both tournaments.

Vardy is now set for a new challenge in Cremona, the world capital of violin-making known worldwide for its musical excellence. He’ll soon join head coach Davide Nicola’s squad to help U.S. Cremonese achieve their objective in Serie A.

Welcome to Cremonese, Jamie!
